Dress Up and Wear Socks Just Because

If there’s anyone in the family who’s had the longest cabin fever, it would be the kids. With their current setup today, they surely miss being out and about and dressing up. Here are a few little ways to lessen the cabin fever for your kid by adding a twist to online classes, playdates, and everything in between through fashion and socks:

1. Dapper up during online class

Although children are not required to wear their school uniforms during online classes, it wouldn’t hurt to dress up a bit. Just because kids are attending class virtually doesn’t mean they can’t dapper up. Kids surely miss being in an actual classroom and being in their school uniform so why not dress up from head to toe. Let their socks be a reminder of good days from the old normal. Have your kid slip on a pair of colorful patterned socks for that extra motivation and he/she might just get additional stars from the teacher.
Since there’s really no dress code during online classes, a good dress code would be something that they’re comfortable with. After all, kids are kids. Give them the freedom to choose what they want to wear for the day. Cut them a little slack because online learning and things in general are tough already. Have your child attend his or her online class with a little class by slipping on a pair of comfy fashion socks to their “online class attire”.

2. Play show and tell during Zoom playdate

Some kids may have already adjusted to online classes but one thing is for sure — they need a break from school work! Have a themed playdate and let your kid dress up as his or her favorite character. This may require a lot of effort for an online event but a little effort won’t hurt. Let your kid rock and flaunt his carefully chosen outfit. Complete the look of your kid with a pair of bright fashion socks that’s sure to capture attention. Add a twist to these online playdates by having mini-games involving socks — have a guessing game where the other kids guess the color of your kid’s socks, a “bring me” socks edition, and the list goes on. Be as creative as you can and feel free to improvise!

3. Dress up (and wear socks) even without an occasion

Kids are just indoors, so why not dress them up for fun? Aside from playing games, dressing up is the most fun they can get. Dressing up does not have to be elaborate; just throw in a little bit of fun and color to your kid’s pambahay with a pair of cute and colorful fashion socks.

Anyone can be fashionable any time they want to be and any day is a perfect day to dress up and wear socks. Maybe wearing socks is the one of the little things our kids can still do in this new normal. Kids surely miss going to school everyday in their uniforms and seeing their friends and teachers. Through fun and fashionable socks, kids are reminded of the fun times they’ve had at school and before the new normal.

Let them hold on tight to those memories while waiting for the day they’ll be able to go to school, see their friends, and play freely outside once again. Darlington and Exped helps bring that sense of normalcy to your kid through their cute and colorful fashion socks for kids that’ll surely brighten up a gloomy day.
